Every woman and child deserves to feel safe from harm.

Welcome to Safe Slumber, a project created in memory of our baby sister, Jennifer Gauthier Magnano, killed August 23, 2007; an unnecessary victim of domestic violence.

With heartfelt gratitude to Sojourn House in Santa Monica where Jennifer and her three children were given shelter from harm for several months. The happiest months of Jennifer's life.

Project Safe Slumber has been created to gather much needed twin-sized sheets for bedding at Sojourn House. At the very least, these victims should have a lovely and safe place to lay their head down at night.

Special thanks to photographer, Mark Lohman who allowed me to use this beautiful photo on the header and to Francoise Speck O'Neill (Chez Fifi) who so generously and quickly suggested this photo, one of her favorites from Romantic Homes magazine after my request to her for something sweetly feminine.

 Four years ago today.

That amazing giggle in a tiny frame

Our sweet baby sister, taken.

There is a sadness that lingers

a void never filled........
